IBC ain't what is used to be

By Dee Bowen

Thank goodness someone is trying to do something to fight against the profit-minded insurance companies. I am a lowly patient trying to get good care, and planning to go to Los Angeles to get just that. I have been on the phone to IBC for the last three days, getting nowhere. IBC has changed drastically for the worse, from my perspective, since the late 1980's, when I first began dealing with them. Now, no employee will talk with you about what you want to know about, let alone about what you want. The billing procedures, and their complete unwillingness to guarantee payment is outrageous. I honestly feel that I, personally, need to somehow find a way to work toward effecting some change for the better.
