UNUM problems in Canada

By Ronald H Polly

Published July 2001

Hello from Canada.

UNUM became our company carrier back in the late 1990s. I'm 43, have worked since I was
15. On Feb. 1998 I was taken off work by my doctor because I did not even know where I was any more. I worked on the waterfront and many times I would have blank out spells it turns out I was suffering from epilepsy. It is now over 3 years since UNUM so called benefits were to start and all we have had is abuse. I believe they do this on purpose hoping claimants commit suicide so they do not have to pay. They have also wrecked others lives that I know of. Please send me any info for I am taking to our local rep. in our house of parliament. I also found out that UNUM paid higher commissions to brokers to get clients.

Thank you and good luck.
